Hello Loves! For all my readers who are lucky in love - today is a very special day! :)
I have to admit, my husband and I don't really do much to celebrate this day. We usually do something special with my mom (ever since my father passed away, we have been her official dates on Valentine's Day) during the day and then go to Denny's in the evening. I know... so romantic. :) But my father always took us to Denny's after church on Sundays and for "special" occasions - remember way back when they used to give free meals on your birthday?! Anyways, my husband and I have been going there together for over a decade and I am so sad that our local one, the one we have been going to since high school, closed down this year! So, time to make new traditions and memories - and although it makes me sad, the timing is kind of perfect, since we have baby elle in tow now!
As I write this, my dear husband is making me eggs benedict, my favorite, for brunch before he heads into a meeting. I love this man. He always finds ways to show me he loves me and in a real, not fussy or overly pretentious way. And I truly feel like that is so important in every way. I like to remind my couples to enjoy being engaged, not just planning a wedding. We should always make effort to show each other how much we love and appreciate each other - not just on 2/14 or on your wedding day. :) So, here's to love on every day and how blessed I am for being able to celebrate it all year round - with my family and my couples! Thank you, everyone, for the opportunity! Thank you, especially, to my husband, for being a loving, supporting and thoughtful husband, a silly, gentle and wise father. We have been through over 10 years of growth together and it still feels as exciting as Day 1. I love you.
As for old and new traditions and memories - I thought I would leave you all with a sneak peek of some family pictures we took at Elle's Birthday party! We held the party at The Viceroy in Santa Monica, the same place we got ready for our wedding day! We took a picture, much like one of our favorites from our wedding day - but with baby elle. And it is definitely my favorite now! :)
